To maintain our competitive monthly rates and offer maximum flexibility, Star Rentals does not provide insurance for our contract hire vehicles. Whether you are opting for a flexi-term (6-24 months) or contract hire (24-84 months) agreement, ensuring the vehicle is correctly covered is a straightforward process.

Insurance Solutions for Business & Private Hirers

Most of our clients find that integrating a hire vehicle into their existing insurance setup is the most cost-effective method. Depending on your status, you can arrange cover as follows:

• Business Fleet Users: Most businesses simply add the new vehicle(s) to their existing Fleet Insurance Policy. We will provide all necessary vehicle details (registration, chassis number, etc.) in advance to ensure your cover is active from the moment of delivery.

• Existing Van Insurance: If you already hold an active commercial vehicle policy, you can typically transfer your existing cover over to the Star Rentals vehicle for the full duration of your contract.

• Private Hirers: If you are hiring as an individual for a medium-term period, you must contact your insurance provider to arrange commercial cover for the duration of the hire.

Please note that for the duration of any contract hire agreement - whether it is a 6-month van lease or a 5-year truck contract - the vehicle must be covered by a fully comprehensive insurance policy.
